I have been taught that just about everyone is after something. And usually the something they are after is in your possession. There are those who are after your money. Some are after your adoration and your body. Some are after your worshiping them as the answer to all of your needs and wants. Some are even convinced that you should be after them as your leader, your king, your dictator. You have not yet seen the light as to their greatness and mighty power to lead you. But if you will just give them enough time they will convince you. Some have such a great need to be needed that they are continually playing the game of "look at me Mommie". We call these people actors, actresses and politicians. I must give you the sad news that we do not qualify to be included in any of the aforementioned gifted ones. But we are indeed after something. And that something is the following:
This is what I gave to the people attending my very first class that I had the great privilege to teach at Church of the Nations. It was a summation of what I believed to be the reason for my getting to teach the class in the first place. I will just change a couple of words so that they will work in this situation, but the main purpose of this website is identical to the class I teach. It goes something like this.........
It is this writer's great desire that you have either been given ears to hear and eyes to see, or have at least been pointed in that direction. Since I am indeed the pointer and not the giver of such tremendous gifts, my hope is that this website is found to be of value to you and hopefully moved you to that end. It is indeed a fearful thing to come to the realization that we are not the "be all and end all" of everything we see and that our entire and complete forgiveness rests in the hands of someone we have only heard about and most likely have never seen with our eyes. How do we grasp such a concept? How are we supposed to wrap our brains around such a gigantic precept? The answer is that we don't. It grasps us. It is too far, too high, too perfect, too great, too magnificent and much too exhaustive a task for us.
If you will just take some time and consider that last sentence, meditate upon it long enough, you will come to your great last despair and see that in that despair of failure, is your Great Awakening. Awake to the fact that you can't, but HE has! It is no longer a dispute to be battled with, fretted over, worried about or to be fearful of. The success is complete. JESUS CHRIST is your Great Champion. The only question that remains is , are you buying it? Are you able to just accept CHRIST as your great payment? That you desire to redeem your "CHRIST COUPON" in exchange for HIS eternal forgiveness? I mean no disrespect to my LORD, but if I must put it in terms that will mean reality to you, then I will use all avenues to do so. Such is what we are after through this website.
The morning I was given eyes that see and ears that hear was the morning that I was given a new birth and was shown JESUS CHRIST to be my everything. And since GOD cannot lie and HE has declared that JESUS is the one that has pleased HIM, I was shown that I can not ever be turned away or rejected. There is now no more struggle to prove that I am. No more trying to be something I was never created to be. No more me. Just HIM! I have been given a tremendous gift and I am compelled to share it with any and all who will give an ear to hear. It is what shapes my life. It is there when I work, when I eat, when I rise up and when I lie down. I literally see CHRIST in me all the time. Because HE is in me all the time.
Because I believe HIS word in John 17 to be talking about me, there is now no more condemnation, no more struggle to be a Christian. No more burden, no more heaviness of heart. What I am after is that those of you who visit and take the time to read the stories I have lived, will be given this same tremendous gift as well. In the letter written to the Ephesians, chapter 5: 14 states "Awake , sleeper and arise from the dead and CHRIST will shine on you." Now you know my secret hidden agenda.
