Just say the word "submission" and you will get all kinds of definitions from everyone. Usually it will not be something that will cause a demonstration of mirth and reckless abandon. At least that is what I have experienced. I have a pastor who told me if he wanted to drive his congregation away, especially the women, then he would speak about submission. Why is that? What is it about that word that seems to generate such a negative response? If you would allow me, I would like to share with you invisible ones out there in the inter-net what GOD showed me. It shook me up pretty good. It changed me. Perhaps it will change you as well.
I was having my after workout meal of grapefruit sections topped off with a savory bowl of oatmeal the other morning when I was pondering upon this thing we call submission. Why I was doing that probably makes as much sense to you out there as how anyone could find oatmeal and grapefruit appealing. I am strange that way. So here I am enjoying every mouthful of grapefruit when the Holy Spirit gives me understanding about the impact and possible consequences of NOT being found in submission. And here is how it was presented....
Kendrick, submission is a demonstration or living presence of CHRIST in you. This is so serious that if you don't have CHRIST as LORD, then you don't have CHRIST as Saviour. You CANNOT have one without the other. And if you refuse one, then it may very well be that you don't have either. You are fooling yourself. You are SELF deluded. Everyone that claims to be a follower of CHRIST wants him as Saviour! Everyone wants to avoid the ugly part of life, the judgement. I have news for you. You should prepare yourself to go through the whole nine yards when it comes to the time we call "the tribulation". Prepare now. Be sober about yourself. Judge yourself. See what you find. Are you ready?
When I was shown this, it caused me to stop on that very spoonful of oatmeal and think. Could it possible that we have been so eager to count our latest "saved" newbies on our chart we keep of church statistics, that we have not told them the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Think about it for just a second before you decide to rush out to your local Wal-Mart and stock up on oatmeal and grapefruit. What if Saviour and LORD is one and the same? If you can view it from that perspective then Salvation takes on an entirely new and engulfing position.
It will overwhelm you to be certain. It was like a spiritual tsunami for me. I must admit, I am still attempting to grasp the size of it all, even as I write this.
You MUST have both. Or you will have neither. It is not kinda-sorta, definitely maybe, or I don't know. You do know. And when you consider it as a fact, it will overwhelm you as well. Now that we have said all that, let me show you the rest. This unwillingness to see this as a fact is the very avenue by which the "family" is being destroyed. The very first concept a child has of GOD is their perception of their earthly father. If he is overbearing, subject to demonstrations of untempered wrath, exercises his contempt for his wife as an idiot and good for nothing except to keep house and produce offspring, then that child's thoughts about GOD will be the same. And if the father is hen pecked, put down, emasculated, constantly presented as a lazy good-for-nothing, can't make a wise decision, even to the point of having to be told where to park the car, then what do you think that child is going to come up with? We could go on and on and on. You get the point. What do you really think that child is coming up with if they have parents of the same sex? They do not have a whit of an idea of who GOD is or what He is all about.They will have a Spiritual foundation of air instead of rock. It is not without reason that Satan is called Prince of the power of the air. Bet you had not thought of it from that viewpoint, huh. Well guess what....I have just been shown that by the Holy Spirit as I am writing this. How about that!
Here you go guys, you manly men, you strap on the football jersey of your favorite team and raise a tall cool one to the pigskin gods kinda guys. It MUST start with you. Uh-oh. Now I have done it. Submission MUST start with the men first! And that means putting yourself under the protection and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Without this position of submission with the men first, the women can not be expected to follow. Have you ever seen what happens to a wheel and tire that gets out of balance? An electrically powered grinder that spins in excess of 10,000 rpm can become a deadly weapon when it comes apart, going in different directions, taking out whatever finds itself in its path. That is exactly the seriousness of what can and has happened to the family today. And it is our fault. We are the ones who have allowed this to happen. Suck it up men! Stand up and take your proper position as leader, protector, lover of wife and children. Do you realize that your children's concept of love and compassion is shaped by how you tenderly come up behind your darling bride and give her a gentle hug around the waist and a small nuzzle on the neck. And when you tell her you love her in public in front of your buddies? It does no good to do these things just when you are alone. I will be so bold to say that if that if the only time you tell her you love her is behind closed doors or when some money hungry business tells you that you must buy her flowers and candy or you don't care, then I declare you a coward and all you really have is a room-mate, house keeper, whatever. You are a candy.
Here is what I am trying to get you to see. And this is what the Holy Spirit showed me. IF you willingly take this position of submission to CHRIST, as your LORD and your SAVIOUR first, then you will see how to treat your wife and children in the proper manner. Not overbearing, or being a girly-man. And life will be seen with an entirely new set of eyes. And they will start to sparkle with new life. I have gotten entirely too mouthy here and perhaps too bold for some. I guess I have gotten my belly full of those who haven't got a clue as to the Reality of who GOD is, telling me that I am offending them. Oh, really. Well guess what? I for one am through compromising. I am through being silent. It is time for the ungodly and the fake, snake-in-the-grass "christian" imposters to run and hide. I will not be ashamed of my FATHER. HE has never lied to me, or deceived me, or connived me. And by the way, did you know that the definition, in Arabic for allah, is just those very things. Liar, deceiver, conniver. That is not GOD. That is someone masquerading as GOD. Ask your local, friendly muslim brother. I doubt he even is aware of it.
OK. I am all done here for this session. Please take what I have said and consider it.Take it before the LORD and see if what we have expressed is not true and in line with the FATHER of TRUTH. Now, since we are speaking of truth and truths, doesn't some grapefruit and oatmeal sound really good right about now?
